The Forbidden city – The imperial Palace, which is also known as the forbidden city is one of the important attractions in all of China and its origin can be traced back to the 13th century.

The great wall of China – This is not in Beijing, however, it is only half an hour away. So if you ever find yourself in Beijing, it might make a lot of sense to travel for only 30 minutes to see the astounding Great Wall of China. 

The Temple of Heaven – This temple was built in 1420 and is made up of some of the most sacred buildings in Beijing. Locals see it as heaven on earth and it is believed that this temple serves as the point where the Emperor would ascend the Heavenly Alter during the winter solstice to offer sacrifices and pray for a good harvest.
